Pearl of the Republic of Israel - Tel Aviv
If you can say about a country, what is thereit is better to visit once than to hear about it a hundred times, then one of them, undoubtedly, is Israel. Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa - the largest cities, worthy of attention of tourists. Although almost all the territory of this state can serve as a single museum exhibit - so rich in its historical heritage, it left such a significant imprint in the destinies of so many civilizations and eras.
Tel Aviv, being the second city after Jerusalemby population, for many reasons deserves special attention. It is located on the site of the ancient city of Jaffa, mentioned in the Bible (Joppa), although the city itself was founded relatively recently, in 1909. Maybe, that's why, against the background of other cities in Israel, Tel-Aviv stands out for its stormy, modern and secular way of life. It is quite realistic to be in traffic jam or in line to a table in a cafe at 3 o'clock in the morning.
In accordance with the meaning of its name -"Spring Hill", this place pleases its guests with a mild Mediterranean climate all year round. In January, the coldest month, the average temperature is +13 degrees, the summer is hot and lasts a long time. On the map of the Promised Land Israel, Tel Aviv stands out also because it is located in the heart of the country, which makes it very convenient for tourists who can make trips from all directions in all directions. Being the so-called unofficial capital of the Republic of Israel, Tel-Aviv is also the place where almost all embassies, the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff are located.
Like the young Tel-Aviv, attractionsThis city is not so much ancient buildings and memorable historical sites as in other parts of Israel, as modern museums, libraries and architectural structures in art-deco and arabesque styles (1917-30), which at the time determined the present unique view of the city.
Even before the founding of the new settlement, in 1886, inold Jaffa, located here, was laid the library, now called Beit Ariel. At the moment the number of books collected here exceeds half a million, access to materials for the inhabitants of this beautiful city is free. Built a magnificent opera, there are galleries of contemporary art. In general, in Tel-Aviv, art is surprisingly very large number of people. Old Jaffa is an area that can be bypassed in about an hour, but it leaves a special impression. It's deserted and quiet, there are no cars. Most of all here artists, paintings even decorated some facades of houses.
In recent decades, especially in the 1990s and 2000syears, in Tel Aviv many luxury hotels have been built, almost all of them are in close proximity to the sea coast. Most of them are accredited as boarding houses of four or five stars.
Like Tel Aviv, Ben Gurion Airport is unique inin many ways. And not only the number of regular flights to all parts of the world, but, for example, and the fact that it is considered the most secure airport in the world, as regards terrorist attacks. None of several such attempts failed.
Undoubtedly, the city leaves indelible impressions and desire to spend here as much as possible time. Tel Aviv is doing admirably the role of the main gate of Israel.
