These names belonged to two ships of the Arctic expedition, which fell into an ice trap. The last time information about the courts of Her Majesty entered in 1845. And only last year, the remains of "Terror" were found. A little further from the site of the ship’s last stop, the researchers found several burials: the bodies of those who were there were disfigured by traces of human teeth.

The Uruguay national rugby team had no idea how their terrible journey would end. The plane, where there were 45 people, crashed over the Andes. As many as 33 people survived - in the following days, they might envy the dead.In the end, the remnants of the team had to go on a diet of leather luggage, and then on human meat. For 72 days a group of desperate people was waiting for salvation. The bravest of the survivors took the situation into their own hands: Nando Parrado went on a suicidal campaign through the mountains - and returned with help.

This case is remarkable in that it opened a new round of legal proceedings - on the question of whether people could commit such a grave crime as a matter of necessity, all the courts of England were beating. Four sailors were in the middle of the open ocean. In the boat was a young cabin boy, who was dying. It and decided to eat the sailors Dudley and Stevens. All the survivors were sentenced to 17 years in prison - not so much for human life.

The collapse in the miners of gold miners, and even in Chile - it is not that ordinary, but not surprising to anyone overmeasure. In 2010, the earth swallowed up the entire shift of miners, 75 people. After a long rescue, managed to get less than half of living people.Many of them were in a state of extreme mental exhaustion, and the questions of how they managed to hold out so much time without food and water began to cry. A year later, on the restoration work in the mine, the bodies were found with traces of human teeth on them. Needless to say, the case did not go to court and quietly hushed.
